Old Growth Oak Morgans Oct 7th 2006

STK Black Velvet was taken into the Mare Motel this week to get her ready to be bred to Sereno Vermont Jazz, one of Joanne Curtis Jubilee King bred stallions. I hope with some careful preparation Velvet will become in foal with just one shipment otherwise we will have to wait to try again in the Spring. STK Black Velvets foal, OGO Luna Illuminati was weaned and put in with OGO Primavera Black Gold, AKA ” Shaman” to take his mind off the fact that his mother was no where to be found. Illuminati has completely adjusted and has decided that Shaman is his new toy.

WoodRose Katrina and OGO Primavera ToughStuff are doing wonderfully. I have weaned Katrina off more of her pain medication and I will be taking the pads and wraps off her front feet the beginning of next week to see if she can remain stable without them. ToughStuff is continuing to thrive so in the next few weeks we will be expanding thier paddock even more to give Toughstuff  more room to run.

I still have the following mares to get  bred to Vining Lamar this year

Two C Sissy Herod, Circle H Merlita and Golden Wintermist.

Vining Lamar already has Castle Monterey and Kellys Blackfire in foal.

A special thank you to Terry jensen who owns Vining Lamar who has kindly allowed me to use Vinnie to bred to my own mares. Vinnie is available to outside mares for a stud fee. I highly recommend this stallion in pedigree, temperment, athletic ability and confirmation. I am very grateful to Terry who has given me the opportunity to use this fantastic stallion on my old WWF mares, I am confident the result of these crosses will be outstanding.
