Diary of a Fighter – ToughStuff
Sunday, August 13, 2006
Got a message from the vet this morning, while I was out feeding my horses that ToughStuff was nursing and playing in his area today. He said that he feels it is likely the foal isn’t getting quite as much milk as he should get, but that he nurses often. The mare has milk, so he would prefer for him to keep trying – rather than step in and give him more.
He is peeing and pooing, so that means stuff is going in.
Katrina got her teeth floated, so we hope that will help her eating and her knees will be injected most likely tomorrow. If that is successful, that should make her more comfortable.
I will have pictures tomorrow of Toughie. I wouldn’t mind feedback on if you think he looks better, worse, or the same in the pictures. I have looked at him so much, that I am afraid my eyeballs are not reliable.
The vets don’t have a working scale at the moment, either, so we don’t know if he is gaining weight. But, he is acting like he has more energy and feels better.
I hope they are good to come home sometime tomorrow. I know Katrina will be MUCH happier.
