This Story |
Old Growth Oak Morgans - Foundation Morgan Horses, is dedicated to preserving
Western Working Family Foundation Morgan bloodlines - WWF Morgan Horses.
|
| In 1791 Justin Morgan, a singing school
master in Randolph, walked home from Springfield, Ma. with a bay two year old colt taken
as payment of a debt. That colt he called Figure, soon created a legend for his ability to
outwork, outrun, out-trot, and out-walk any horse in the area. As his saga grew over the
30 years he lived, countless colts and fillies were produced in his image. Morgan's horse
was one of the greatest breeding stallions of any time - the only one to establish a breed
by himself. |
 |
| The Legacy of the Justin Morgan
horse bloodline continues on...with OGO Morgans, Owner and Breeder, Wendy LeGate. OGO
breeds from the direct bloodlines of Justin, through Jubilee King and down to the current
reigning stallion, Canyon
of Quietude. The Foundation Morgan horse history, legacy, strength, beauty and
endurance are cared for by her un-bridled passion. Wendy offers Stud services from
her stallions with a
Private Treaty fee and shipped Semen or Live Cover through her breeding program. She
also has
foals for sale - fillies and colts from mares carrying the next
generation in the Justin Morgan horse bloodline. Please feel free to contact her
with any inquiries and you too, can share in this amazing legacy! Welcome to her life's work and her dedication to "Bringing
the Best of the Past into the Future"! |

FEATURED OGO MORGAN HORSE
|
| OGO
WindSwept Soleil is a promising young stallion showing the good traits of his
parents and ancestors. He is even tempered, sensible, calm, easy to get along with,
correct, handsome and has good movement. His heritage is one of working and using horses,
mostly bred for ranch use by people who needed good working horses and who knew what made
that in a horse. His pedigree has much of the old California blood, going back to Richard
Sellman's breeding. He also has some of the good old Brunk breeding, especially that of
Red Vermont. To add to the mix, he has some good lines back to Old Vermont and Old Midwest
families. The same breeding repeats in his pedigree on both sides, giving balance and
strength to his heritage. He brings to today, the valuable traits treasured by horseman of
the past. |
